Loved the presentation. Great slides, good flow, and LIVE DEMO? wtf?!? Home run. Some more presenters could take some tips/notes from you, dude.
I'm very happy to see the new stuff you guys are doing with ZF2. Perhaps development isn't stagnating so much after all!
This talk sucked. They should have said in advance that you needed to know Icelandic.
Great talk with a lot of inspiration. Thanks!
Michelangelo's talk presented good detail on particulars of testing ZendFramework components using PHPUnit. He went into good depth and specifics, including features of PHPUnit like Data Providers. One thing he had to balance is providing the code on the slides vs. the complexity and density of the code. His overall balance was code heavy making the slides a valuable reference after the fact. Great job Michelangelo!
Info given was very basic. could have covered what was given in 30-40 min. Could have used more security information as well.
The speech was great in regards to the topic, it is not about specific patterns for something it is about general deployment automatization. Specific patterns for phing + jenkins can be a good topic for more advanced talk. There are also few ideas to extend it:
- push vs pull deployment
- different continues integration servers for phing
Thank you!
The beginning was a bit too simple, but good inf in the later part
Loved the subject matter, but wish there would have been more focus on specific deployment patterns. I'm already aware of the general use of Jenkins and Phing, but would love to learn more about specific best practices and experiences with them. Give me a list of specifics.
David provided an interesting discussion on how PHP and Javascript can merge into something new. A mashup of frameworks instead of meshing content. I enjoyed the presentation.
