Very informative talk. I picked up quite a few new things that the PHP CodeSniffer could accomplish, enough so that I've added it to the top of my list of things to implement at work. I suspect LB might be getting newb questions from me in the upcoming days on getting everything working well. :)
Nice talk. Presenter really knows the topic well. However, due to such a large topic in a limited time space along with the speakers energy/excitement it led to very quick coverage and fast talking for too many slides. At times I simply couldn't keep up as the next wave of info washed over my head. Slowing down just a bit would have helped me alot. (Oh, and nice Mario outfit!)
I thought that Ed's talk was very thought provoking. He discussed very comfortably with the audience his thoughts on his "MicroPHP Manafesto." What stuck out to me was he awknowledged that there are places for larger frameworks, just that as developers, we have to be responable and accountable for every line of code that we introduce to our project, and projects with large, complex dependancies can make it very difficult to grok it all. I really enjoyed this talk.
Sorry to be a parrot, but I agree. Great comparison from PHP to Clojure, and toward the end my eyes started to glaze over. The speaker "knows" the subject, and it was very interesting.
Nice job on the talk. I have not jumped into the iterators yet but this talk gave enough information I will look more at them. Learned a few things in other areas that washed over during the talk as well. Bonus!
Nicely covered without going into the great confusing depth this talk could lead to. This talk led me to dig more afterwards.
Nicely done. Didn't expect as much as I got from this talk. I will be digging into this topic much more and now have more direction to dig. Thanks Ed.
Nice job on this talk. I agree it could have been a little more in depth, but it did lead me to some nice discoveries which is always a bonus.
Very informational, and nice talk to break the ice for audience. This is a new technology for me, so would have been nice to see more example. But the talk led me in the right direction to find out more on my own.
Perhaps include more on Vagrant and the use of puppet for development environments.
Very nice coverage and flow of the topic. Enjoyed and learned.
