Talk comments

I think my comment was eaten by the recent updates :)

This would have been a better presentation for college students or someone just entering the workforce. As is, this was NOT a fit for a bunch of people already in the field.

For a specific example, the presenter said "I know what it's like to be a software engineer" which came from an internship. As Steve notes below, she spoke as if she had years of experience in the field without it.

I would have liked to see a presentation on career development from someone who was actually into their career.

I've dabbled in consulting before but it's always been a daunting endeavor. Attending this talk and hearing someone who's been far more successful in the field explain the details (that I neglected to even realize existed) makes me want to give it another go.

Tons of great data to reinforce my existing love for PHP :)

Git is magical and mysterious and the fundamental power behind most of what we do in software development. This talk quickly covered some of the most advanced uses (yay interactive rebasing!) with ease and made some of the tool's most complicated capabilities approachable.

Good to see Chris branching outside of Testing. Great talk, humorous, entertaining, and very informative. Loved seeing actual code in the slides to demonstrate the pattern principles. Excellent explanations of a few design patterns.

Good talk about the software development world.

Thanks for the talk. It had some good details that were new to me but I think the examples could be a little clearer.

As always this is super helpful. I think it would be nice to see how to do the profiling but that might be a larger talk. :-)

Great talk, and easy to follow along. Really enjoy this speaker.

Good and useful talk! I really appreciated the starter Tombstone code.
