Talk comments

Point taken. I would have done a section with some hands on coding. But decided against it because after the intro round I felt that I really needed to cover the theory in detail and also spend a bit more time on explaining some aspects of Symfony2. So in the end I decided on covering more Bundles rather than giving some "playing time". But I very much encourage you to fork the REST Edition and adding some features. If you run into trouble feel free to submit a PR to get some feedback. Hope this way you can also get the coding aspects that was missing from my tutorial.

The tutorial had lots of great content and it served as an overview of REST and the number of bundles used in Symfony2 to work with REST.

I would have liked a more hands approach and possibly even build a small sample API.

I am going to give 5 stars, because it was a great talk with lots of great hands on content. I really liked that there was a story to follow and do some actual coding.

Yes, there were issues with the timing and the wife. At times things went really fast, but then there were lulls while people caught up. So I was able to catch up.

This was a great beginner level tutorial about ZF2 modules in general.

I learned plenty of new stuff as well as now knowing what to call a lot of what I had been doing all along.

Brandon, the more excited and enthusiastic you got about the patterns, the faster you talked, which did distract a little, but not quite enough to deduct a thumb.

I really enjoyed the content of this tutorial. Everything that I needed. Great tools provided and code snippets to get everything together.

I only wish there was a hands-on portion, or at the very least a "follow along with the github code" that was provided, considering that this was a 3 hour tutorial. I really expected a more interactive experience rather than an information dump.

As always, Michelangelo delivers the best overview of QA in php and why it's important. The *only* gripe is that I wish he performed more of a "workshop" style, interactive talk where the attendees actually installed/configured the QA tools and get more comfortable with them.
