I only have to thank you for this talk, was truly awesome and inspirational. Everybody was amazed, you could tell by people's faces.
This is a talk every developer should see. I would go further and say that this is material for TED Talks, seriously!
For me as someone who is just looking for the one job this talk was very inspirational and made me think throughout the conference, thanks for that.
As a tip for next time: If you're speaking to an international crowd as a native English speaker, speak slower, it's difficult to understand.
Great and very funny talk, cool slides. Although I'm not a front-end developer, I got very interested in Sass and was surprised by what can be done with it. Nice rocket!
You talked about very interesting and inspirational subjects, I think its a cool talk specially for beginners.
But for me, as non native English speaker, it was very hard to understand. And I really wanted to hear your story.
If you could talk a bit slower, it would be great for the general audience, as we are in an international conference with people from many different countries.
I used to be scared of vagrant and puppet, not anymore because Jelrik made it look so easy. I can totally do this!
Also: +1 on everything Erika said.
Most people already know the basics of HOW to actually use google, and I believe the talk could be focused more on the specific things, like the related sites was a good tip, also the tab plugin, I didn't know about that.
Whatever Lorna talks about suddenly seems so easy to grasp, thanks for yet another clear presented talk. It shows that the slides and everything was very well planned.
This was meant as a more general talk as it is a one track conference, and to go into everything in an advanced way would just mean an API Design talk covering the entire day.
The most important bits and pieces were definitely covered and it shows that Lorna knows a whole LOT on this topic.
I would never guess it was your first talk. You were very calm and the message was very clear and well delivered. I'm pretty sure those who never used vagrant before got very interested in experimenting it after watching your talk.
I think it would be cool to see a live demonstration, just to get people more excited about it :)
As usual you did a great job, I really never understood well the differences between REST and RPC and now I know =) The advices, specially regarding status codes and error responses were very important.
The only thing that I kept wondering about was the DELETE response status, I understand you have your opinion but as Robin Nieuwboer said you seemed to avoid discussion and my feeling was that you were not open to consider the others arguments.
Wow... I was really moved by this keynote.
There's no way it could have been done in a better way. I was just amazed at everything that was said and the message that came trough from this very wise "old" man. The way he shares his story and the way he keeps this red thread in his talks makes me so inspired, and I believe that this talk, if ever so slightly changed me as a person: To the better.
Thank you Ross.
