Both David and Jon are excellent speakers and delivered a well-rehearsed, polished talk about the relationship between YHA and Microserve. Really enjoyed listening to them speak.
As a developer I found this a bit dry but it's given me a lot of food for thought about what we will need to work on in time for next May - especially as I'm working on a project currently that stores a lot of user data in a lot of different places! Good talk for the CXO day, a lot of people were discussing it afterwards.
You could tell it was the first time that Jam had given this talk but it was a nice break from some of the other keynotes I've seen him give previously. Good to focus on the community, something that I think CXO days don't often focus on.
Fantastic keynote. Connected with me on various levels with multiple points, and reminded me of key things like it's OK to say "no", not to take on too much and help yourself before helping others - lessons I'll ensure to remind myself of regularly going forward.
Great talk, packed full of information with relevant examples. Quite a few take-aways to implement after seeing this talk.
I'll declare a slightly biased interest here - as these guys are from miggle. It was Louis first talk - and he was really assured - and it'd be great to see him do more talks in future - and Adam did a great job in giving him the support he needed in terms of getting slides in order, mentoring and of course, talking about why we do what we do.
I learnt a lot in this. And it's actually I think the first time I've seen George present - and he was great - a really informative session. And loads of things in it I want to try (and harden, obviously...)
Well formatted presentation. Clear and concisely presented with some elements of humour! Given this was Ross first talk he did a decent job. Straightforward presentation around how Ross deals with challenges within his work
Decent presentation. Good Q&A at end.
A thought-provoking talk (although I don't *quite* fit into the "pale, male and stale" stereotype!) that made me think about how to reach an intended audience. Think we need to talk with our clients!!
