It was an introduction to SPL, but really short. I would like to see some more real world examples of how to use it. I also would like to see some better benchmark tests to see the real impact for performance.
All in all an interesting topic, but there is much more to it to tell about.
Very interesting topic, which got to few attention. Some parts looked a bit more like a sales pitch, but the tutorials made up for it.
Nice intro to CouchDB. Not so advanced though, which was fine for me, having been introduced to CouchDB about a week ago :)
Only ... slow down! It's good to see your enthusiasm, but it may come somewhat slower. It's probably even better to understand then.
A nice overview of REST. I'd like to see some more stuff. And maybe a bit less notes read out or searched for.
Great keynote. A fun overview of PHP throughout the years and into the future.
Ben has convinced me to look deeper into the details of REST and ATOM as a way to open up my API for external applications. Thank you Ben for opening my eyes.
Covered the web accessibility guidelines well. If anything, I felt the speaker needed more time to really get into depth on the topic, meaning not much time for questions.
I think a lot of people were expecting more javascript, but it was actually a reasons to use javascript if you're a PHP guy (which is retrospect is right there in the title). I enjoyed the comparisons between languages - though if anything the more unusual stuff was about php itself.
Interesting talk, but i personally hoped it would be a little more in-depth.. That was just my expectation though, not a problem with the talk :)
Quite a nice talk about the databases, although the end was a bit rushed. Didn't stress enough when relational databases are a better choice and when the alternatives are better. Relational databases are not all bad. It depends on the circumstances.
As a sidenote I would be interested to see if these alternatives would be good to use for ORM applications.
