Perfect short talk. Clear examples, good presentation, enough information for anyone to get started using Zend_Acl with Model-bound asserts.
Same as richardhimkamp. Loved the presentation's point of view, but would have liked some more complex examples.
Didn't see the other talk, but from what I have seen here it looks very promising. Will surely try it out when I find some time!
Good talk, but lacked depth. More complex examples would make it more interesting. I personally would have liked more about the difference between RDBMS and NoSQL and when to use what. NoSQL has lot's of simple examples where it works great (just blog items with tags and comments), but what about the big projects with 100+ tables in a RDBMS, will they benefit from NoSQL, in which cases and in which cases not? But maybe that's a whole other topic for someone else ;)
Great talk! Liked to introduction to basic searchengine theory, not new but a bit more than I already knew. Lot's of different tools discussed so we can choose, nice! I really liked the balance between the tech part and the part about the usage of search to help the user.
Lot's of information in a very nice high speed! Next time maybe repeat questions from the audience so everybody knows what you're answering.
Nice talk from Rob. He's a entertaining speaker to listing to. Good concepts and considerations, may benefit from some more depth. I understand some solutions might be good enough for your company, but for the talk it will nice to touch on some different type of situations too. I didn't mind the small part about the DB deployment, but I saw the talk by Harrie on that topic.
I loved the 2009 panel discussion, and this was equally good. Happy with the discussion on PHP-Java (dis)similarities, and it's nice to get a picture of recent developments. A great way to end the conference.
Really entertaining keynote, fun way to bring a less fun (imho) topic.
The information in itself was good, and Derick knows his stuff, but the talk itself needs a more structured and cohesive narrative.
