It got me triggered to look into NativeScript so job well done!
I also like superheroes so I'm a big fan of the slides.
Content-wise, I think we might have gone a bit faster over the color themes, and stuff like that and go deeper into the demo with the little robot.
But of course that is personal preference.
Great job!
Cool talk! Pretty abstract, but great for a keynote
For the more experienced speaker the content itself was a great reminder that not all juniors know the pitfalls one can encounter and so to remember to just explain it. For the juniors this was a nice little awareness talk about things one should not do in PHP.
I absolutely love the theme it was done it! And the correlation between the movies and the examples was great! Bindings was a bit hard, I first thought it was going to be about legacy :p
Mark has a calm stage presence that makes the audience feel at ease. Add the humour he has and you have a great talk!
Nicely done.
I think this is an interesting topic that was well given.
Rick talks very smooth and has a nice stage presence.
Content wise I would love it if we went a bit deeper on the tools to perform better code reviews.
Maybe show some screenshots for the PHPStorm way of doing it.
Well done!
First of all I think this is a really good subject to talk about. The commenting system of git is easily overlooked during development.
As we discussed after I think it would be wise to maybe take a different approach on the bullet points with the comments.
The live demo is a nice touch but foresee a back-up plan. If it goes wrong I would say it is easy to make mistakes in git and show us how to fix that.
However, this is a good talk!
Solid presentation. If I were you, I would rather focus on one specific DI container - if needed at all. The bits were you explained how Laravel or Symfony do things are not really needed and hard to follow if you are not already into that. Especially the naming part "here it is called x while in in the tool it is called y" - that overcomplicated things for me. Bonus points for mentioning PSR-11 and service-provider, though.
Lots of stuff *not* to do in our company. This will be very useful for the future...
