Talk comments

This was a well-organized, well-delivered talk. Appreciated making the vagrant resource available on Github.

Very well prepared and engaging presentation. I feel more confident about trying to get this implemented in my organization. Great point about greatly reducing the time it takes getting new developers up and running.

I would also like to echo Ralph's comment above -- maybe next year you could have a "Part 2" talk where instead of describing what vagrant is and how it works and why to use it, you jump into the practicals of setting up different VMs in a real environment and how it fits into and enhances your development workflow.

I did not attend this session, but heard from many of my developers who did that the first half of the day was spend debugging environment issues for attendees on PCs.

With multiple presenters covering this session, it would have been more beneficial to split the group having environment issues into a sub-group to troubleshoot while keeping the lesson going as scheduled for the rest of the attendees. By stopping the session to debug individual environment issues, everyone else's time was being wasted.

Better planning for these scenarios would make this session even more valuable for PHP newcomers.

Great talk. Heavy dose of realism that I wish I'd heard many years ago before learning some of these things the hard way. The real-life case studies were helpful and brought a lot of the points home. While there isn't much that could be improved in the time alloted for the talk, I agree with the previous commentor that the talk would really shine if some of the stories could be condensed and there could be a few code examples showing what piecemeal changes look like.

Enjoyed the talk. It moved at a very good pace. The slides were great... showing the code and cmd-line output.

I've now seen this talk twice so I am beginning to be able to watch it without my head exploding. David is one of thos epoepl ei describe as scary smart. This talk is a good example of that. This is not a beginner talk. This talk is for advanced developers and dives deep.

Think you know a bit about scaling PHP, come attend this talk. :)

This was a great talk. Larry is an interesting speaker. i've seen him give technical and non-technical talks and he delivers both with equal aplomb.

This talk gave a lot of insight into the process of turning the Drupal ship and what is driving Drupal 8. This is a great talk for anyone using Drupal, or considering Drupal. It's also a great talk for anyone who wants to move a large project in a new direction.

If you get a chance, make SURE you see this talk.
