Talk comments

While the talk was excellent and very informative, I think this is one of those talks that you leave comments/questions until the end. With as much content as Patrick needed to cover, we didn't need to hear about off-topic items that are going on in others own environments, taking away from the rest of the audience getting to take in all the content with the short 50 mins that Patrick had. So, that is my only suggestion for potential improvement. Otherwise, great talk!

Being someone with social anxiety and also being a CEO at the same time, I love the fact that people are actually talking about this topic. Nara's topic, although I know hard for her, is one that needs to be heard and I'm glad she is sharing it. Software Development is our jobs, but at the end of the day we are all human and that needs to be recognized. I personally am open about my condition to everyone for two reasons. a) it personally helps me with my problems. b) it creates that open door policy that Nora spoke about.

It was good to see/hear a real life scenario of a team that was prepared and planned accordingly for a PHP 7 upgrade, even when upgrading and upgrade paths have always been a slow process for the PHP world. Seeing the performance benefits alone of PHP 5.6 to 7+ gives me a good talking point to my clients to get them to approve and invest in us to migrate to PHP 7.

Very inspiring talk that continued themes from the opening keynote namely that hard work and determination can overcome a lack of traditional credentials.

This talk contained a lot of great information about content security policies. I will bookmark the slides because they will be very useful as a reference. I think the talk could have been better presented with examples based upon concepts first and use that to explain the many different options available. I did learn a lot and will be rethinking my approach on my next server setup.

I really liked this talk. Well presented, rich slides and incredible content.

One suggestion though to make it a 5-star: from time-to-time you clicked rapidly through the slides of some important women in history, not giving me (and others) the opportunity to read who they were and what they did.

A very inspiring talk that really spoke directly to my own personal experiences. Well delivered and the story required no slides.

Personal and well presented. I can name a next generation of people that I would put on that wall of community influencers. People are becoming part of the community and paying it forward. Thank you.

This talk did indeed cover a number of things I didn't know about Composer, and can use. Patrick, I did misinform with one of my comments. There is a repo type of "Path." I've never used it. Meanwhile, in the repo type of "VCS," you can specify "path" rather than "URL." I'm sorry to have confused the two in my comment during your presentation!

This talk is of direct value to my company as we plan to migrate from PHP 5.x to 7.x. The cloud of "challenges" presented looked familiar from our own code base. It's hugely valuable to hear the experiences of someone who has recently accomplished what we're setting out to do. Thank you.
