I appreciated the info on combining tools, and the insights into realistic expectations. I would have liked (and wish I'd thought to ask about) suggestions for learning/training for an inexperienced project manager.
More energy in presentation and connection to the audience would take this up a notch. Q&A was great.
A lot of this resonated, even though I am new to Drupal. Informative and convincing.
As someone who's worked on a few different remote teams, this presentation touched on almost all the major pain points with remote worker coordination, and how to solve them. Good overview of popular tools and organizational techniques.
Q&A session was very focused and helpful as well (the sign of a good presentation that brings out even better discussion!).
For a 20 minute session, this was very high-level and more of a quick overview of the Panels-based site building workflow, so that was great!
One suggestion: Add a few screenshots of the different modules mentioned, so people can see a little of what each module does.
There were a few small technical issues in terms of being able to see everything on the screen easily, and parts of the presentation didn't flow together perfectly, but it was very good content, and offered a good amount of guidance and demonstration. I'm glad the presenter discussed Drupal 8/PHPUnit/SimpleTest, and it might be good in the future to add a little more discussion (maybe at the beginning) of where we are in testing, and the heritage of Drupal's testing framework(s).
Great enthusiasm, you can tell the talk was well rehearsed (and given previously)! I liked the content, and just wanted a little more about Drupal 8 and keeping up with core changes in general, as more of the presentation seemed to focus on Flag's architecture, a little less on general guidelines for porting contrib modules to D8.
I liked the keynote, but I wish it would've gone a little deeper in a few areas, like how you can find local meetup groups for PHP, how the more global PHP community works (outside of Drupal), and some specific examples of big sites using PHP (e.g. Facebook, Wikipedia, etc.).
I thought that this was a good "intro" to php and a good keynote for a Drupal Camp. Jen is a good speaker and able to communicate with a diverse audience.
This topic was probably a little beyond where I'm at right now in terms of comprehension. But, it was well organized and well presented.
As someone that is primarily a site builder, I hoped that I might get more from this session than I actually did.
Very helpful step by step for beginners. Thank you!
