Really enjoyed this talk. Kind of uncensored, especially when it came down to the pricing of items and people instantly buying the most expensive item, which felt like Gary was telling what I was thinking.
The talk was given very smoothly. Good pace to keep up with. I knew about both tools already, but I hadn't seen Charles in action yet. Got some good pointers and ideas from this talk.
Very informative talk with a loads of details. Pickup some new things during the talk. It would have been better to do some beamer testing preventing information crucial cut off the screen.
Excellent talk describing all stages of OS contributing. Making use of the audience made it really fun.
A very inspiring talk, not only for newbies. The interaction made it work even better!
In my opinion, its a great thing that you talk about all the important topics regarding contributing to OSS, because that gives a clear picture about the process, for anyone who is not experienced on the subject.
As a suggestion, I think that some more technical information could be added to the talk, and maybe some testimonials from other developers on how the felt / how was their first contribution, the feelings involved, things like that =)
Great job!
As expected Ross delivered a great talk with a lot of humor in it. Fast paced but good to follow. brpoplpush all the way!
I was not in time for the beginning of the talk, but from what I could get, it was very inspiring and entertaining. I felt very identified by your history, similar experiences, the bad and the good part.
Awesome evening, great idea to do analog games after a tech congress. First time playing Cards Agains Humanity and it was just awesome, thanks for introducing me!
Well-given talk. After a short while I was asking myself why I'm still using regular CSS. Mission accomplished :)
