Talk comments

Thanks SendGrid =) it was a great night

Interesting topic, and good presentation.

Definitely gave me some things to think about.

I did expect the welcoming talk at a PHP conference to at least contain something about PHP, but this talk could have been given at any tech conference.

However, aside from that, it was a pretty good talk. He is obviously a good speaker, and got people thinking about giving/receiving advice throughout the rest of the conference.

Ross is one of my favourite php conference speakers, and I think this talk gives a bit of insight into why he's so capable. Ross advises that we might well benefit from seeking advice, seeking to understand and apply that advice, and seek to advise to others; to consider what those around us have to offer and what they might benefit from. A great philosophy for lifelong learning as part of a technical community. This talk was delivered engagingly with Ross's signature wit and tone. A great start to a great conference.

Excellent talk, good points, very informative and insightful.

Sam's a funny guy so his humor and funny stories throughout made the talk excellent despite being short.

Perhaps next time each of the commands should be more in-depth to pad it out between going through commands.

Can I suggest showing more examples specific to PHP developers, such as jenkins integration, and integration with more PHP used utilities.

Good talk. Despite being a very personal subject he was able to stand up and educate others.

This talk has helped me come to the following conclusion:
People spend too much time on focusing on other people, other things happening, other technologies but forget to take care of themselves and ensure they're healthy.

Definitely do this talk at more conferences!

It was a really good keynote, I wish I had something constructive to give but I don't. Good job Ross! :-)

Thanks for the feedback. This was not only the first time I gave the talk or demo but i'd literally written it in the hour before giving it, so all in all pleased I managed to show something at all.

I'll try to make it smoother if I give it again in the future, possibly without the live demo and just showing a replay of a deploy.

Definitely did not seem like a first time speaker - confident and an interesting perspective.

This was a highly amusing talk. Entertaining, and as a trainee speaker, actually useful! Thanks Ole, amazing, light-hearted delivery! :)
