Talk comments

Liked the talk but would have preferred to perhaps see an introduction at the start of the talk to say what we were about to see/hear. Speaker just jumped straight in to the topic.

Felt some of the anecdotes were slightly too personal and went into too much detail.

Would the talk have been better titled "Testing Smells" ?

Overall - great. i liked it. I was interesting and I definitely have seen some of this issues before so nice to know Im not the only one.

Thank you :)

For me, the best talk of the day (and there were some good talks for sure). Projector fair may actually have added (was this planned ?)

Fun (without being silly)
Interesting and topical

I though satisfaction was measured in cats, not squeaks - please confirm!

Good talk!

Overall I liked this talk. Speaker was well versed on the topic and excited about it which is brilliant.

If I had to pick a negative aspect, I would say the talk lacked direction or perhaps focus. Perhaps if it focused on just a few of the key benefits of Doctrine 2.0 rather than try to list them all. I feel a talk should be like a story with beginning, middle and end. So perhaps the structure could have been

Beginning: Propel and Doctrine 1 - what they gave us and what was missing
Middle: Doctrine 2.0 - why this is awesome and why you should use it
End: Why every app should be using an ORM and why Doctrine is that ORM.

It has made me think again about using D2.0 so from that point it was very successful.

Thank you. Great Talk!!

Good points were that it showed us some of the new stuff in ZF 2.0. What to expect in the next release etc.

Slightly disappointed that although DI is an important addition, speaker was not ready for questions about Unit Testing, which must be a key reason for implementing DI.

Overall an interesting insight into the next release.

Really engaging talk, and dealt with the technical issues very professionally. Certainly gained a few new ideas to try.

Was a good talk in general, but was rather focused on PRINCE2, rather than project management in general. However, the key points were relevant to any project management methodology, and the talk was delivered well.

It's a shame that this talk wasn't re-worked to fit in the time slot, as it would have been nice to go into more detail on a lot of the points. Elizabeth being high on caffeine and sugar seemed to have helped as it meant she could quickly fire through the points, but still ran out of time :(

Excellent talk. Tech issues just goes to show that technology can get to even some of the best in the industry. Highly entertaining, and had some great ideas. Will certainly be applying some of them from next week!

An interesting talk - we'd been using Apache FOP for years. This was looking good and was considering looking into it more for a project until it was revealed that all the generation is done on external third-party servers.
