Talk comments

Great talk! A lot of acronyms for me to digest, but pushed me towards a major review about how we use metrics.

As always, Dericks' delivery was informative, educational and entertaining. Loved it!

Fantastic! Got me all stoked and eager for the rest of the day.

First of all, thank you for your comments.

To clarify: You do not have to use an *external* third-party server. For projects, which process sensitive information, for example medical or financial records, you can license the backend LiveDocx server and install it in your own network.

Hence, the sensitive data would be kept completely in the confines of your network.

Would this be an option for your project?

This was the most interesting talk of the day for me. I have worked on a number of Magento projects over the last few years and can definitely relate to the speed frustrations hinted at. Varnish looks like a very flexible and easy to set up solution to these problems and I will definitely be giving this a look.

The delivery of the talk was also very clearly done and the speaker obviously knew the content well. If I had to pick out a bad point there was probably a few too many "erms" in the delivery of the talk however this is a very minor point and the talk was no less informative.

Thanks for a great talk"

This was a very interesting overview of Doctrine 2 and has definitely sparked interest to spend time picking it up. However like previous commenters I would have preferred a more technical talk with more practical examples rather than focusing on the negative aspects of Doctrine 1 / Propel. Thanks for your effort!

This was an interesting talk and the speaker was very confident and clear in his delivery. However sat at the back the slides were very difficult to see as the room was very narrow and very long so I will need to run through them a few more times to pick up on everything that was mentioned. Overall worth the watch though and thanks!

a lot of valuable information. absolutely no reason to be nervous, you know what you are talking about! one piece of feedback would be the slides. there was a lot of information per slide, but with the short time you had I understand why. If you get more speaking time I would try to spread the information out over more slides. this way it can serve you as a cheat sheet at the same time, it will be easier to remember what point you are telling us about. I for one will try to attend your next talk, you have a lot to offer the community!

had front row seats, and I can only say that even with everything going wrong (or because everything went wrong) I find it the best presentation of the day. you are comfortable on stage, that makes it easy to take in the great (and valuable) ingormation you brought to the table. funny and effective slides. shame the lights got dimmed near the end, because the last slides were far more visible. another plus was your interaction with us. all in all, easily worth 5 stars rating.

Excellently done, I thought. You did a great job of convincing me I have the potential to see further than other men. A perfect opening to the conference. Would watch again! :D
