Talk comments

Dustin is a real pro - faultless talk, great delivery, didn't feel like a sales pitch even though he is the Dev Evangelist for AppDynamics. The fast pace was delivered flawlessly and very authoritatively. This is how you do a tech talk!

I was impressed with the talk and the subject matter, but felt a little put-out by the fact that the talk seemed to be a thinly-veiled advertisement for Google's cloud services. When the speaker was questioned about the latency problems he mentioned being easily attributable to the location of the servers, he did not have a convincing answer and got a bit defensive.

Michiel was probably the most confident presenter at the conference - excellent delivery, interesting subject-matter and aside from the small hiccup with projector (Linux can be a bitch sometimes, eh?) - a faultless presentation

I found the content of the talk to be quite interesting, but I agree with Ashley - the formatting of the slides didn't really work with the projector. I did see the slides before the talk and it didn't seem like it would be a problem, but maybe a font colour with a bit more contrast would have helped.
Aside from that, I enjoyed Chris' delivery and was also definitely affected by the dim light and the stuffiness of the room.

Steph - you know I love you bro, but you've gotta breathe on stage! Your talks are always informative and full of cool shit, but you start out fine and then sound like you're struggling to breathe.
I don't think it's nerves or anything like that - you handle the pressure well; maybe have water with you up on stage to force you to pause for a minute.

Really enjoyed this talk - full of real-world horror stories and their clever solutions. Talks like these are really valuable because few people have the depth and breadth of experience to pull them off convincingly

Enjoyed this talk a lot! Phil's overview of the API landscape really demonstrate that he is a master of his craft, and he knows his API shit! You know, you should write a book man :)

I found this intro into the FIG to be a great overview of the vision and implementation of such a contentious mission. Always enjoy Phil's irreverent and self-deprecating style - in true English fashion!
