I think “soft skills” are extremely under-rated among developers yet are the most important things when working as a team. The session was great, got me out of my comfort zone, and taught me some good ways to challenge myself to become a better communicator. I would have liked some practice on having difficult conversations within the session but I spoke to Kenneth about this afterwards. Enjoyable and recommended.

Lots of useful tools listed to help improve your code over time and a very piratical way to do it in the context of a real world example of how you are achieving this with your team.

Lets not forget some cracking jokes and some trivia about WordPress. Good times.

Very funny and engaging talk on DDD with some great code examples. Even bug hunting!

Great and interesting talk with a good example about a door in several states.

I had never heard of Cynefin before, but holy cow this talk was amazing. Its a very abstract concept but it was very thought provoking and left me wanting more!

Really enjoyed this talk, mainly because i have thought about being a remote developer and Miro pointed out some useful insight since hes been doing it for a long time. Very useful tips and tricks to keeping sane.

The panel at the end was also very good, it turned out to be quite a balanced divided of people for and against remote working which made it very interesting.

Brilliant talk, expanded my knowledge on databases a fair bit.

I liked Pim's very straight to the point take on DDD since a lot of the resources available on the subject tend to be very dry and wordy. Pim's sense of humour was also enjoyable for me, though I can imagine it might not be to everyone's taste. Some good practical recommendations on starting to use DDD concepts in your own work without having to learn everything at once.

This was the first time I've heard Liz present anything and I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish. This was also a topic that I didn't really have a lot of knowledge on going into to talk and Liz really helped to open my eyes to it.

Fantastic talk, I learnt quite a bit about how WordPress prefers to be user centric instead of developer centric. Also was great to actually hear the argument for using PHP5.2 articulated in a way that makes sense to developers.
