Agreed entirely with Iain. For 4/5 I'd like to see a game developed and for 5/5 you could engage the other side of the audience more. This talk was already more than ok, and has a lot of potential.

I enjoyed this talk as Heather was clearly passionate about this subject and made it more interesting to me. The biggest challenge will probably be getting organisations to train everyone on the subject and change the culture rather than allocating one or two people to "make sure we comply". Lots of good information that I'll try to take back to my work!

Made we wish I was still working with Postgres and not back with MySQL! I think there were enough examples of useful features in each technology to tempt people into looking into them more. I would have liked a bit more info on when to use CouchDB, having said that this is the only DB I haven't used before.

Interesting talk about some of the reasons why its not easy to upgrade. I still came out not totally sure why 5.2 is supported, if providers / users are not wanting to upgrade then it seems easier to just stop shipping updates to them ? Security updates only maybe for an extra 2 years or so.

Jenny was very clear and passionate about WordPress which was great to see

The after party was enjoyable, plenty of things to do. The only reason this is not a 5 star is because the bar didnt have a card reader.

Some great info in the talk.

For me CDN's are of almost 0 value when you have HTTP2, you have to give away your users data (the CDN knows which sites they come from etc) and also you now need a new connection instead of just streaming over the existing connection.

It was mentioned a few times about losing gzip, but brotli compression is readily available and most (all?) modern browsers support it (HTTPS only)

Great talk, some really useful bits about communication which can also help inside an office environment.

The Q&A panel at the end was a nice touch too

This was totally new to me but incredibly interesting. The talk was really well delivered with great anecdotes and humour. I'll certainly be taking a deeper look into Cynefin (which I can now pronounce correctly :D )

I felt this talk was informative and well paced. I now have a much much clearer idea of how Behat can and should be used. I'll be re-watching this talk with my colleagues once the recording (that I think was being made) is released.

Liz is such an incredibly good speaker, she delivered her keynote with confidence and kept it engaging from start to finish. Loved the surprising facts and stories shared. I don't think I could've asked for a better explanation of what Cynefin is (never heard of it before), with so many clear examples given on what each of the elements is.

Really enjoyed it - thank you Liz!
