Do you do company parties Mike ?

If it weren't for my interruptions you could have perhaps gone into the details you did not find time for...

Astonished by the progression CouchDB project has made these last 2 years. The talk was very very interesting, but sometimes hard to grasp. A matter of too little time off course. As Harrie says: luckely it wasn't just an intro.

Suggestion: why not organise a tiny couchDB conference ?

Great stuff again.

I agree with Anonymous :) SOA is not about webservices, it's about application design. Having said this, the examples did not support the SOA idea, neither. I'm sure Jan Willem knows what he is talking about, but he has not made it clear.

Missed opportunity I think.

This was a nice introduction about the more advanced functions of CouchDB.
I'm unfamiliar with the NoSQL principle, but this talk was a nice teaser.

I liked the fact that there was a short introductional part.
Code examples were a bit hard to read though.

I found the manager perspective actually a nice approach. It's interesting to see what managers are expecting and to compare this to your own expectations. Some tradeoffs between tools would surely have been a nice addition.

Great stuff. I think even veterans (seniors) need to be reminded about the 27 ways.
The way it was presented is really motivating, especially to Junior developers attending. As a team leader I like the non PHP bits just as much !

Not quite what I expected, but still nice to be introduced to some tricks for testing legacy code.

As mentioned during the workshop and also here, more could be done with the VM image. However, given the short amount of time (and the title already defined) I think you guys did a good job.
We don't use QA, unit testing, code reviews etc yet, so it was particularly interesting for me to get the global overview on where these things fit. For more in depth info I'm now triggered to dive into it myself.

Indeed stating the obvious, but it's good to hear it again from time to time to keep you on the right track.
A nice kick-off of the event I think.

Now we know that is takes about 5 nerds to get a presentation on the screen.
Great keynote. Lots of humor.
You got to love the community!
