It was a good talk to understand the principles of kafka and why its not simply a queue. I would have loved to see a comparison to other message brokers like rabbitmq, which seems extremly similar, just with different terminology.
This talk makes me question my priorities. Having time to do the things you love is so important. This talk delivers the intended message very well. Thank you Chris!

Even though webSockets have been around for some time now, I have not yet had the opportunity to use them. This talk wants me to just get started with them. It was a very nice overview of the possibilities, how to setup etc.
