The only session I got to see and the talk was given perfectly. Even though the concept of getting things done is not new, Chris showed us that you don't need fancy apps to follow up on your todos, just a calendar and a 4-day workweek gives you the freedom to balance life and work.
Very good talk! Enjoyed it 100%.
Good introduction on a complex system named Kafka! Very good examples of use cases! Will give it a try. Thanks!
Awesome talk about a recognisable topic. A lot of pointers you can start right away. Chris keeps the presentation really personal with a lot of jokes. You got my attention. Now lets see how disciplined I am to apply some of your tips!
Awesome 4 day work week hack btw! ;)
Very good speaker and talk. Awesome topic and with very to the point explanations and examples. Easy concepts with which you can start implementing and improving your code right away!
Very good talk, easy to understand! The presentation gave a lot of pointers to get start thinking about how to do event sourcing as well how to improve current implementations. Michiel gave a lot off insights on the pro's and cons of cqrs combined with event sourcing, the pitfalls and possible solutions.
Very good presentation. Matthias explains the topic very well and especially the pro's and cons about why doing it in a certain way. Really likes the mindset of "Everything is an object" where he opens the presentation with.
The presentation had a lot of interesting concepts but they where hard to follow due to the lack of context. Tip for next time. Start with a 10/15 minutes introduction of what you are going to talk about, why and what does is solve to get aligned with the audience. Also a short explanation for each of the topics in between (functors, monads, applicatives, semigroups and monoids) will help. I had the feeling that the biggest part of the audience didn't even understand what they where looking at.
For the rest. Good speaker and interesting topic!
Great introduction. Good humoristic vibe throughout the talk.
Loved the practical use-cases of Kafka + how it's used at spotify/twitter/linkedin/...
The Indiana Jones part could be skipped in favorieten of live examples.
