Really awesome talk. Speaker has a lot of humor, it was a very light talk although the topic can be quite daunting.
Awesome. The contents of the talk was really cool, awesome to see how PHP works under the hood. Sara's presentations skills are also top-notch and she answered the questions really well, lots of humor and very smart.
How could I not give 5/5? Event through all the mic troubles, with a cold and a tough crowd on the first rows you were rock solid. You're sometimes a bit afraid to take a stand for what you say, but that's ok. Great content everyone should know, good speaker everyone should hear.
The contents of the presentation were actually quite good, lots of good tips. However the speaker had a very monotone voice and although the subject was quite interesting the speaker was not (mostly of the way of speaking and monotone voice).
I do agree with the fact that the title is not really representative of the talk.
This is definitely a talk worth having, and a topic that makes a great keynote. You're great on stage, though perhaps a little bit too excited for my taste, and judging by the other comments for other attendee's as well. I think it was a tad on the extravert side and with such a huge introvert crowd it didn't land as well as it would with different crowd. You did your research and pointed out stuff developers absolutely need to know if their want a long career and good health. For a 4/5 I would have loved to see more of you first and slides later. With somewhat of a research based talk you're going to get a lot of bullets on slides, but in the moment I'm there for you and your story, and your slides should support and not lead. Tailor it better to the audience and you'd get a 5/5 from me.
I really liked your explanation of this concept by using an example where you break stuff.
I love breaking stuff, awesome!
I really, really liked your presentation on presenting how Monads could be used to deal with optionals in PHP code, for example.
At the end, however, I kinda missed a conclusion with these are monads.
A great insight into how the internals of php work. My knowledge of C is zero and yet the information supplied in the talk was really understandable.
I liked the parallel with the brewing process that was made throughout the talk. This really helped making the example understandable. Would have liked to see more on the edge cases; when would and when wouldn't we need to use immutable objects.
I really liked the talk. Speaker was very energetic and I actually quite like the standing up. It was a very different way of presenting and definitely the involvement of the crowd was very cool.
