Talk comments

An excellent (and very scary) Quiz! It was interesting to find out some of the intricacies of the language and especially how to best handle floats!

Shame the actual quiz slides are not available.

We're just about to start using guzzle so this was a great intro for me. The talk was well structured and the slides have good examples, so I'm actually going to do a slidedeck kareoke for my team using them :-)

Nathaniel was nervous and unfortunately it did show but but it's nothing a deep breathe and a little practice won't solve.
I really enjoyed the talk

Guzzle is a great tool and I was happy to see it on the schedule. The talk had good pace and content. The speaker should address the audience and try to work on using fewer "erms" as I found it really distracting. Also talk to the audience rather than the slides - give line numbers as a way to guide people's attention to the correct portion of code (in a small room you can point, when you get the main stage, you won't be able to - and it is always better to face the audience).

Finally: don't apologise. Your sorrow is not the point you're trying to get across, and it distracts from your technical message (which was great!). Look forward to seeing you speak again

Tom - Thanks!

Nathaniel - I'm glad it's prompted you to look into more content. If there's anything I can do to help, let me know [email protected]

Chris - Fair point. You're right about being under prepared - it was content I thought about during the night before and didn't include in the slide deck. I'll bear in mind the comments about the snide remarks in the future. In my head it was supposed to have been funny, but I clearly crossed a line, so sorry. Thanks for the feedback.

I saw one of Rowan's earliest talks. Its not fair that someone can become such an awesome speaker so quickly. Fantastic talk!

I saw this as a beta talk. I can see the improvement. As usual Lorna gives a great talk. I suspect the early part of the talk may be a little bit low for a crowd like PHP NW. However it describes many very useful tools which some many not know about.

Loved the splitted-room aspect of this keynote. Worked out very well.

Now can we have an 5k for #phpnw14, as a healthy counter to all that floating beer ;D

Great to learn about how other companies go about solving these issues.

A great talk, expertly delivered. Just the right level of humour, and good analogies.

Good one for a codeless talk, but maybe you should add some in the future and also consider the Silex / Cilex integration via the Cilex Console Service Provider; as this might be a valid feature for other users of this combo. I guess the time would also allow some sort of demoing.
