I'll do a review of the core, but even if the code is not 100% optimized it's not critical, as usual, even if the core it's only a subsection of the code that might cause problems.

It was interesting and well delivered, but... I imagine that the vast majority of symfony users have bigger bottlenecks than PHP concatenation and "for .vs. while" (although some of the array functions can quickly get out of hand).

I hope the core team was paying attention so that Doctrine 2.0 and Symfony 2.0 can be as quick as possible!

Thought the presentation was perfect - I have no experience of Git but it gave a great overview of the key concepts and I can go find more details online. Thanks, Scott.

Ps. Why is it called "Git"? It's not a very pleasant name!

Lots of interesting stuff to look into.

As far as I can tell the idea is "include Zend Core and then you've got some new cool 'plugins' that you can play with".

The most interesting part was the discussion of the non-technical parts of the project and contained some useful reminders of some things that can be forgotten (especially by a freelancer like me!).

Great talk, loved the angelic cloud deployment and a useful insight into some of the issues faced when deploying to the cloud. Thanks!

I think that's the first time I've seen Fabien look nervous but your moment in the spotlight was a success and we're all looking forward to getting our hands on Symfony 2 soon.

Is there going to be a new logo with a capital 'S'?

Delivered very fast, which was fine for native English speakers (and actually quite useful since the session was a little behind schedule and there was nothing too detailed to try to follow) but might be better to cut out 20% of the words and talk a little slower? Any non-native English speakers like to comment?

Interesting talk and some useful links to github gists for those that need more details.
