I know that you can always read up on topics such as this. But I have to say, hearing such a well presented talk has helped me understand some of the more fundamental aspects of designing a good and proper REST API. Thank you very much for that!
Nice brief introduction into growing values that help shape you into a better person.
If anyone is interested in deeper treatment of this kind of subject, have a look at Jerry Weinberg's books (http://www.geraldmweinberg.com/Site/Non-Fiction.html), in particular "Becoming A Technical Leader" is highly recommended.
Nice presentation about the trials and tribulations of making sure that web page content can be rendered as soon as possible. Plus great pointers to profiling tools available that can visualise page load behaviour.
Josh's speaking skills are top drawer, flawless. Making people inspired, paying attention and keeping people interested. The talk content was really good too.
This talk was in my top 3 favorites for the conference.
While busy organising the conference I managed to catch the last 15 minutes of this talk. The room was packed, there were plenty of questions and user interaction and involvement was excellent. Good presentation skills and spoke clearly an loudly.
The content was very good and relevant to DevOps and people interested in automation and deployment technologies.
Unfortunately it was very difficult for me to hear Graeme talk, he was too far away from the mic.
I don't believe there was any user interaction in this talk it was just an offload of information which one could get from an online tutorial.
I'd definitely want to see this talk again under different circumstances..
Easily my favorite talk of the conference. Showing and demonstrating cutting edge technologies.
I was one of the people who wanted to leave the conference room and lock myself in a room and implement these technologies into my existing projects.
Unfortunately everything is "experimental mode" in chrome and I must wait a while but that's not Alan's fault I'm just keen.
The only constructive thing was that inbetween demos or time figuring computer related issues out made the audience switch off a little at parts but when the talk was in full swing everyone was captivated.
Good presentation skills, very indepth talk content. Some concepts could use a little bit more introduction for people who have little to no experience in this type of technology. The demos were fun, interactive and amazing but dependency on the wifi wasn't the best idea.
As usual, excellent talk title, talk slides, talk content an presentation skills. I'd love to give some constructive feedback here but it was literally flawless..
Splendid presentation. Both funny and in depth. Made me want to go and immediately "fix" my web API implementations.
