Talk comments

This talk was very well presented it had very good content and a good overview of current important web techniques for performance. As someone who spends a lot of time listening to talks like this in the past I still managed to learn a bunch of cool techniques and tips here. Overall, excellent talk.

As developers we can always improve our skills set and keep learning. I took quite a few ideas and learnt some ways of improving myself as a developer from the talk. It was very well delivered had good content and the way he built up a character with different body parts kept the audience engaged.

It was a very good talk even though the content of the talk was not what I expected. It definitely got me thinking about having a look at googles apis and having a play with them. Ian is a very accomplished speaker so no matter what he is talking about you can always get something from his talks.

Eamon couldn't do the keynote in the end so instead we got two keynotes. Eamons keynote can be watched here. http://vimeo.com/63903883. First time I've seen a keynote in a Video and it was really good.

Joe did the actual keynote in Holyrood Park at the foot of Arthurs seat. From what I understand he had little time to prepare but he did a great job. The theme of the talk was very important and thats what whisky web was about for me as I met loads of new interesting people and learnt a lot from them.

The best talk at Whisky Web for me. It was really inspiring and really got me thinking about a lot of things. The world wide web foundation mentorship programme looks interesting and Im hoping I can contribute there going forward.

Brilliantly inspiring and well executed talk.

Notes here for those that missed it:

"I'm no much more informed"

Whoops! I obviously meant "I'm now much more informed" :)

Very nicely presented just as the REST talk the day before, with nice demos.
