Effortlessly delivered and a very, very good introduction into cryptography, at least for me. I now really "get" how the public-private key works where I never bothered about it (enough to find out) before.
Very entertaining yet again!
I like fooling around with graphics but found it very nice to see this "developery" approach to creating and transforming boxes.
Ross showed that if you just take some time to think about it beforehand, messing around with canvas or svg can really be done in an intelligent way.
A very good intro into the possibilities of canvas/svg as well with self explanatory code samples.
Nice talk and to the point. It would be nice to see a few more use cases.
This was an excellent talk that everyone should see. I am glad I did as I received many good advices. Thanks.
A great introduction in Sass. There where some @mixin examples I couldn't understand though.
I don't know where you got the idea for this talk from, but keep on going! It is a great talk, with some very useful advices coming from a helpful and skilled adviser.
I totally agree with all the chaps here: this talk is a must-see!
The concept clarifications was definitely the best thing: I have worked a lot with APIs already but I had never really understood the difference between what a REST vs a RPC service was, I had given up and thought they were just the same.
Having said that, the only thing the talk could improve is how to generate/handle API responses with namespaces and data type definitions.
I agree that a small demo would have been nice to have, including some complex cases, such as a sub task that depends on another feature or something like that. With that, you would fill in the time gap and the message would come over better.
The high quality food and the awesome social gave to the conference a unique flavor.
Its nice to see other developers being entheusiastic about this subject and its refreshing to see a different view on the same subject. I think jelrik did a very fine job as a first time presenter. Personally, i would try and give a few more examples on how to do certain things (it was often: do this, and then it will work and does that). Also, not everything you said and showed was (100%) correct, but the ideas were, so no worries there.
