Great opening talk! Good humor and a nice line-up of the key features of PHP 5.3, 6 and future design decisions... The presentation setme in a good mood.
Matthew did a great job in this extended presentation on explaining the surface of Zend Framework and the indepth of some components. He knows how to teach and motivate the attendees to use Zend Framework. He is very approachable and helps you as much as he can. Both thumbs up!

Not only a great 'call to arms' to people who aren't currently contributing, but done in a very friendly and open fashion. Noone could listen to this talk and not want to go out and start helping, and feel very comfortable doing so.
Ben Ramsey does a great job explaining REST and awakens an interest in the inner workings of the http protocol. Super!
Good talk on what Rest is and its principles.
Some comments on the talk where a bit towards the obvious, but the part about how to setup Zend_Session was nice.
I was however wondering at the code example where the session was started, the exception caught and the session restarted. I think this can't be done, once destroy is called on a session, a flag is set that prevents it from being started again.
Great keynote. Very well presented.
Matthew is an excellent speaker and this tutorial, though very theoretical, gave me an excellent insight in the recommended structure of Zend Framework projects. It was very nice to see all the new ZF1.8 features and it very much inspired me to have a much closer look to ZF.
