Smooth delivery and Cal is very engaging. More of a natural conversation with the audience than a presentation, which is fun. Shame the code example didn't run and it felt like that might have been preventable with a little preparation (that said, my own code demo wasn't the best).
Looking forward to seeing the code on GitHub, some interesting options in there.
Must not sound like fanboi...
Really energising start to the day. Nicely linked the UX responsibilities of designers and developers.
While I agree that the talk had an (expected) sales-pitch nature, I found it valuable to get an overview of current and upcoming Oracle Techologies I might want to look more deeply into. The things shown about oci8 were interesting. I didnt know all of them yet, so I take something home from this talk.
I really liked it, a bit too much OpenStreetMap focused but very interesting.
Great talk! Beautiful slides with some great additions when talking about it. Maybe this should better if it was given in a tutorial of a couple of hours so everyone can set up an environment with.
One of the best talks I've seen after the one from Aral Balkan. :)
Was hoping to see the sample in action. Picked up some interesting stuff.
The talk was very informative and displayed the difference between multiple systems. In my opinion it was too much open streetmaps, too few google maps. And i was missing live maps entirely. If it sucks, it could at least be pointed out.
Overall it was quite good. Maybe a little less map demos, and more coding demos
Great talk and good job. @todo Try it ASAP.
A little high on the api documentation, but learned about a lot of cool new services!
Calm delivery and clean slides, very nicely paced. Actually managed to finish with time for questions too and there was some valuable discussion. The Vagrant demo was a bit underwhelming though, I think it might have been worth highlighting to bits of its progress to show just how much work was happening in the background. Still, great introduction though.
