Dutch PHP Conference 2011

I am a php back-end developer so I usually tend to stay away from frontend related talks. But I decided to have a look what the fuss around XHP was about.

I found the talk very informative and interesting. It also made me feel like "I want to try this out!" so you captured my interest and made me curious for more. That's wha a good conference talk should do, hense the 5 stars.

Good intro to Zend_Tool and the like...

Interesting new look at pear and maven for dependency management. Overall really interesting overview of various solutions to the problem.

This was an excellent start to the day. Very interesting subject. The example code was easy to follow and the live demos worked flalessly. Ian's speaking style is very good. Good clear speaker

Nice overview on the subject and highlighting why many systems are actually RPC. Evert is obviously very knowledgeable on the topic. He does Uhmm err and ehmm a lot though.

Good pragmatic overview of REST over HTTP with some helpful tidbits in there around headers. Good to highlight how much the protocol does for you which often gets mistakenly re-invented. Nice relaxed style of delivery and clear slides. Useful questions at the end covering some of the implementation details.

Were you ever so nervous ;)

Some concrete examples of REST implementations would've been welcome, too. It always gives a better understanding for techies.

Otherwise: well-structured and to-the-point presentation of REST/HTTP.

All in all, job well done!
