Talk comments

Thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad that the talk was useful. The slides are now available at the link above.
I did have more demonstrations of the tools prepared, but time was against me. I'll aim for a better balance next time.

Nice wind down to the conference weekend, mixing right-left brain concepts in a room of geeks, brave but you pulled it off - reminds us all to have fun with code, not just the task focussed view of the world we can slip into with the day job.

Oh and LASERS man, ultra cool :)

Good layering and introduction of the IoC concepts, spot on for an intro talk. As I said in person, the analogies utilised where a great way to unpack the topics without frying peoples' brains. In my top two talks of this conference!

However, there is one criticism: sort your slide delivery mechanism out - once or twice you get away with it but it started to get annoying, happening almost every other slide, after the half-way point.

Great talk, always good to hear stories from the coalface. Nice examples and honesty from experience - loved major the focus on retrospectives, something for every agile practitioner to take away. In my top two talks from this conference!

Good enjoyable talk, right balance of examples with practical advice, good pace and right level of Gary humour ;) .

Personally, and this is hunting for something to critique, I think I'd need just a little more depth to be able to walk away and tackle the job on something real world (e.g. large!).

I was expecting a lot more from this presentation. The content was good but the presenter was hard to understand. He used very long sentences and at the end of each sentence he would run out of breath and it would become a jumble of words. Too bad because this talk was one of the reasons our sysadmin came along to the DPC. He still doesn't understand why I like Docker so much.

Loved the lego, and the 200k commands/sec demo.

Some very good convincers for those who may not have used Redis before. Great pace and good ability to keep audience attention.

Very nice presentation. It gave me a lot of ideas.
