A fast simple technical overview and history of product import in Magento
Same "not taking yourself seriously" as in the Youtube channel and more dry humor. Rebecca had the hard job to do the one non-technical talk on a developer conference and she nailed it!
I saw the talk for the second time and it's still good! A must-watch for every developer as a reminder to secure input and output with practical tips for Magento 2
Tadgh made sure we deserved the Comedy Store stage. He managed to do a stand up routine and then dropping a bunch of knowledge about data migration in just 15 minutes. The slides will be very helpful as reference.
It's always interesting to see how AOE builds their stack and the reasoning behind it. Very specific to AWS, but the talk also contains useful advice if you don't use AWS and was well presented and easy to follow without experience with AWS features like auto scaling groups.
From "complex forms with UI components" to a general overview of the Magento 2 frontend and where it is going. Over night, Vitaly came up with a new presentation to adjust to the audience. Huge respect for that!
Smart advice on writing clean object oriented code, flavored with an introduction to Behat. From the title I had expected a different kind of talk but was not disappointed by the content!
The XML/JSON export example was chosen well so that we could follow the process of (re)designing and testing and understand the reasons why and when certain principles are a good idea.
Great insights in the current state of Magento 2 frontend and where it could be improved. I'm a backend developer but it was still interesting and relevant for me.
A refreshing "new" view on object oriented programming, or rather its original sense and how it can work together with functional programming. Very inspirational and Vinai is an excellent and enthusiastic speaker as always.
I have to watch that one again, so packed with knowledge and recommendations, I learned a lot. Great and understandable examples!
