Jared Spool was a great choice for a closer. He was funny and entertaining. His talk was chock full of ideas that may well stick with me for the rest of my career. Anyone that can get that much audience attention at 4:00PM on a beautiful Sunday afternoon overlooking the Charles River in Cambridge from the NERD Center is a master of their craft. Jared proved this rule true.

This was a fun presentation because it gave a overview of MVC from a CodeIgnitor point of view and how easy it was to use! It was exciting for me as I continue to look at MVC as my next challenge!

I went into the talk with low expectations since picking up a new source code management tool is a big commitment. But Rick presented the information in a logical, easy to follow way and showed how easy it can be from the command line!

I'm sold too and can't wait to start using it today!

Rick solved one of the problems that I was having!!

I didn't think this could be done. Awesome *hands on!* introduction to UX testing. UXers and developers were challenged, engaged, and inspired. By actually going through the process we could experience the value of testing first hand.

3 hours almost scared me away. But, it passed all too quickly. Maybe less time writing scenarios (3 instead of 4?) would allow more time for the actual testing. Seeing is believing.

This talk helped me think through how some of my mysql calls are made! I think that I can make more efficient calls based on the information presented here!!

This talk really helped me to think through the indexes that I create based on how they are going to be used in searches. There was so much that I had been taking for granted!

It was great to learn how to use mysql to execute timed tasks so that we don't need cron for db updates!

The speaker was great! Knowledgeable, precise and worked well with the audience, a pure pleasure to attend!

Really well done presentation that was really helpful. Now we can look forward to php 5.4, not fear it!

I have a UX focus and this was better than I expected. Good comparison of tools - which are crucial to success. The right tools help us move fast, iterate often, and not fall in love with our prototypes. Loved the actual demo of various tools - this can sometimes be risky to do in a live presentation. The risk paid off. I'd encourage developers to try prototyping early in the process if you don't have a dedicated UX person or team. Not ideal, but better than nothing and will likely save you changing code later.
