Definitely took a little while to get in to our stride but I think it worked out well in the end. I thought 1 hour was going to be far too long, but turns out it was not enough time. Some fantastic feedback from people in the room. The lady who came in half way (I think her friend may have text her and said "YOU NEED TO BE HERE") was fantastic I hope in a few years we can hopefully see some change.
Interesting, scary content and great presentation style. I guess I'll go back to hiding my money in the pillowcase...
Given the amount of beer I had, I'm very close to clicking the "Claim the event" button. Great start of the weekend!
Thanks! I should have the code out in the open very soon - let me know if you want to hear more about where this is heading!
This was my favourite talk of the event - partly because I needed to learn this. I came away with a lot of information and a real desire to learn more. I'm signing up for my github account tonight! Thank you so much for putting this on at such short notice. John, Mark, Lorna, you are stars and I am very grateful!
This was a fascinating talk, really enjoyed it and loved the way these two 'rivals' showed such respect. It really is all about community!
Thanks, Tobias. I can empathises with the difficulties of being forced to use proprietary software. Your talk inspired me!
Apparently I was drunk. And the stories circulating that I was one of the last to leave at around 2:30am will invoke a lawsuit! ;-)
A really good idea to do this - it not only pulicises the podcasts but publicises Oggcamp for those listeners who didn't know about it.
Yay for podcasting!
Almost fell asleep as my hangover from Friday evening kicked in, but I really enjoyed it otherwise! It could have been more interesting if it was more focused - maybe just on the designer discussion. Still 5 thumbs for the entertainment factor.
