Brilliant keynote. Very inspirational, interesting and educational all at the same time!
Fantastic tutorial. A lot to cover in a day and it would have been nice if the ZF2 code was in the right place for the exercises as I seemed to spend most of my time copying code about.
Very worth while and it was nice to find out some of the new features coming in ZF2. Rob did a fantastic job in his first ever full day tutorial and I look forward to getting the beta and having a play!
Solid, and well articulated talk, but could have benefited from a timed run-through in preparation to avoid running out of material in 30 minutes.
A good talk, well presented by a knowledgable speaker. Some interesting insights into how open sourcing software can help make a company's software better even if no external developers contribute.
Great talk Ben really interesting to see some grass roots, much overlooked tech behind the web and http. I'll be bending your ear later on!
While the speaker seemed very bright and knowledgeable, her presentation style could've been improved:
* Introduction about her and her past (only mentioned she worked at Google half way through)
* Assumption of knowledge about object oriented design. Would've been nice if she gave a quick definition before using a technical term (protected variables, coupling, cohesion etc).
* Live code examples would've been good or even live demos
Great presentation and was intentionally and unintentionally funny at times! Good content on estimating development time (not using 8 hour days for example) and good introduction to MoSCow etc. Would be good to have a video of this to show sales teams and other colleagues! Well done
Good overview of the different test tools available for PHP and choosing the right one for the right scenario. Would've been good to see a live example of tests though.
Learnt some great features of git, as well as inadvertently some older features of svn I was unaware of! I think the structure of the talk would have been better if, for each feature illustrated, the problem it solved was outlined before introducing the feature, rather than the other way round.
