As well as my slides I've uploaded the course notes here (complete with Netscape screenshots): http://www.bennuttall.com/files/mmu-webdev-course-notes-2011-(seriously).pdf

And the exam paper I sat (May 2011) can be found on the MMU website: http://www.sci-eng.mmu.ac.uk/students/pastpapers/papers/Ex1011/63PR6361SPrint.pdf

Jonathan gave a really good presentation on PDF generation, It is about time somebody make a simple abstraction layer to deal with the mundane tasks of working out x and y co-ordinates. I also really like the way you can choose different export formats with a simple function call.

I will be trialing your product with out new billing system in the coming weeks.

My favourite presentation of the day. Great insight into Facebook and managing a lot of commits! Nice to see actual code examples too!

For me this was by far the best talk of PHPNW11 and I'm really looking forward to getting hands on with Phabricator and herald when I get back to the office.

It was also nice to get a sneak peak of what happens behind the walls of the mammoth that is Facebook.

Fantastic talk, Really clearly explained the benefits of GIT over SVN.

Such a shame that time wasn't on our side though as I felt a little more time in each subject would have been really helpful, I don't think this was your fault though.

I hope you will given a bigger slot next time.

Good overview of REST Architecture and constraints. Might have been useful to show examples through publicly available APIs such as Zendesk etc.

Great introduction talk and enjoyed the brief history of programming languages. Also mentioned how the creator of PHP started off and tried to come up with a solution to a problem no one else had fixed. Inspiring by suggesting that we can contribute to the world by making a small change to existing open source projects. This could have a 'butterfly effect' and could become something that everyone uses.

I thought this was a great session to get some ideas on how to increase the numbers and engage more with visitors. Targeting and marketing features correctly is key and this session kind if helped to steer some thought around these.

An inspirational presentation that outlined a great opportunity to get involved with a large scale open source project.

Thanks Stephan, based on this I altered my presentation to remove a lot of the text and replace them with "placeholder" images. Shame about the time as I would have loved to have heard the rest.
