I loved the talk but feel like title is bit misleading, IMO this was more of introduction to FP than actual pros/cons of using it. Speaker was fluent and really engaging but would suggest to work on the questions for the audience as few were bit ambigous which made them hard to understand (I as a speaker have same issues).
I'we seen this talk previously, I really liked it before but I think examples now are more clear and relatable! Speaker was calm and engaging, even had few puns thrown in (at my expense no less :) )
One small tip, slide with all the symfony/workflow events was hard to read as it had lot of content, maybe increasing fonts and not using grey text color.
It was so nice to hear I'm not the only person battling perfectionist and pragmatist in their head. I loved the talk, speaker explained things really nicely and showed us examples from his own experience which I found really valuable.
Not sure this is keynote type of talk though but still deserves 5*!
Thank you Robert for a great introduction into DDD, especially not focusing on the code but the principles and ideas!
I'm so sorry this talk didnt exist before as it would have helped me understand some of the ideas much more clearly, if you have never heard or worked with DDD, this is a must visit/watch talk!
Finally a bit different take on event sourcing! Not one, not even two, but three! examples how event sourcing is used to improve the quality of applications.
I've seen Luka do this talk at a meetup a while back, and he improved an already great talk. Nice presentation style, nice flow of the talk, examples used in the presentation were easy to understand.
The speaker has put in a lot of effort into this talk, especially as they made a tool specific for this talk, so they can do "inline" demos. Best technical talk for me for this conference, from start to finish, it was a job well done.
Despite the technical difficulties at the beginning, the speaker handled it well and didn't allow it to affect his performance.
The talk was a bit on the "controversial" side with a couple of points, but we need talks like this to question the status quo.
Nicely presented talk with real life examples.
I really love talks that takes us out of our comfort zone and this one was brilliantly done.
Thank you Tobias!
