Can anyone equal this guy's passion? I doubt it. It's true, it's all too easy to say that so many tough concepts are 'Impractical'.....completely agree. So, it's tough....so what...do it anyway. Maybe a tiny bit too fast, but I'm guessing that goes with the passion. Inspirational presenter. More please!

Fabulous. Very unusual way to go about this. Everyone seemed thoroughly engaged and I loved the asciiart cat. Didn't hear it purr though. Consumate professional, who knows his subject.
Brilliant presentation. Ian gets better every time I see him and the first time I saw him he was great. A tough subject presented with energy and obviously highly intelligent understanding.
Nice intro to some interesting things you can do with images. Would have liked to see a demo with streaming content and facial detection.

We really liked Rowan's talk. He managed within a presentation to give a very good idea of how you can use AWS to create a very robust scalable system and manage it.

Excellent motivating talk with some really good examples. Great way to start the first day of the conference.
