One of the best talks of the conference for me. Good pace, well delivered and very thought provoking. More speakers like Ciaran next year please. I didn't think my tests sucked beforehand; now I do!
This had the potential to be a very informative talk from somebody working at the company producing Symfony. Unfortunately it was mostly about using FOS Rest bundle rather than any useful things about Symfony. The delivery was monotone and uninspiring I'm afraid to say and anybody who's spent some time working on Symfony doing Restful stuff, offered nothing new. To be fair, the speaker did ask "Who knows Symfony? Who knows Rest?" and when virtually the whole audience raised their hands asked "Why are you here then?!". Very good point.
Superb. Great to have the challenge to think beyond our own problems, and therefore this was a great place to finish the conference. Well done.
Inspiring talk. Quite personal at times, but there were still things to take away from it, like getting involved in a local user group. Good presentation style.
Interesting thought experiment, but very little I could take away and learn from. Good presentation style though.
Good advice on APIs. Gorgeous slides. I particularly liked the recommendation to cater for creativity, using the API in unexpected ways.
Interesting, but way over my head for most of it I'm afraid! Sounded more useful for those doing low-level debugging rather than basic application debugging.
As someone who has never used Github before and always wanted to, this was an excellent practical introduction. May have been a little basic for others though. Presentation style was very friendly and honest, and it was clear and easy to understand.
I particularly liked the encouragement to contributing to open source projects (rather than just doing a local hack) so that everyone benefits.
Interesting (if fast paced) look at how everything fits together. Might have benefited from covering less but going deeper into the details, perhaps showing the benefits of this approach over others. Presentation style was excellent though, and you clearly know your stuff.
Like others have said, a little too political for me but great delivery, well-paced, humorous; good way to wrap up the conference
