A bit too much anedotical examples of "other" platforms to the deteriment of how that relates with the "PHP dev". A bit more focus on the current audience will improve the talk as the listener / viewer will relate better with the experience.
Good talk, but I felt it didn't quite match up with the title/abstract. I thought the last few slides moved through in silence created a powerful effect.
Very entertaining keynote
Very positive start to the conference
I was really grateful for the large portion of time dedicated to getting it installed, because it's looked too big and scary and confusing to me before. The examples after that were great, and I'm going to start using it today. I'm now referring to the slides to help get it installed, today.
Really engaging talk that explained not only how but why you might use this approach.
Great stuff Liam, thank you. I think a lot of people would love an off-the-shelf packaged up version of what you've done, just to make their own lives simpler, but I think what's more important is the journey you went on to get to the end result, which you demonstrated with honesty and humanity, which is always appreciated - I feel much better about my own developer skills knowing that there are experts out there who as just as fallible as me!
Excellent talk, really enjoyed this (and if you hadn't said, I would never have guessed you were ill). I've been wondering about Lumen for a while now, and your presentation clearly outlined where and how it can be used (and where not to), so I found it really useful. You presented confidently and clearly too, so well done!
Great talk, very clear, engaging and informative. I mean, I still prefer Laravel, but this level of flexibility is really interesting, and you showed it off really well.
One of the best, if not the best workshop of the conference and for BDD!
The examples were clear, the roadmap was easy to follow, the group tasks were challenging and the methods were surprisingly effective. I do look at the programming tasks from a totally different angle now.
I've learned a lot from this workshop and would definitely recommend it to EVERY programmer.
Thank you Ciaran!
