The social part of a conference are always so nice. You can really talk to everybody. If you have a question an idea there is always someone willing to discuss about it.
It found it REALLY nice there were free drinks and snack, everything was very good organised.
Sadly enough I wasn't able to stay very long.. just long enough to win the iPhone :D Thank you Zend & Dataflow and ofcourse all the the other sponsors and the PHP Benleux Crew!
Besides the technical problems in the beginning I found the presentation OK. It was an interesting subject, but not really well structured. Because of the technical problems it was hard to fit everything in the remaining time.
I think it would have been better to do a talk on one of the two subjects and not the both at the same time. The project you guys are working on looks really promising, but there's still a lot of work to be done.
I would really sign up for another talk when the projects are in a more mature fase.
Keep it up Patrick & Davide
Even though the talk was a bit more technical than I expected. I really became very interested in finding more info about SOLR.
It was very clear that Paul was a total expert on this subject and the questions that were asked were always answered very clear and precise.
The time frame was a bit short, I think if you would devide the talk in 2 timeslots it would be even more usefull for people. With even more examples.
Very good presentation Paul!
I really liked your presentation. It was very well structured and easy to listen to. Your slides were VERY nice, I really liked the funny commic images and the overal structure of your slide.
Even for someone like me who isn't yet a known in all the area's of development and stuff, I found it very easy to follow and everything was really well explained.
I can't really find anything to criticize this talk. Keep it up Rowan, and I would really like to see more talk of you!
Very nice presentation about Dependency Injection. And a nice example on how to use some new PHP 5.3 features for the purpose of a Dependency Injection container.
A great and inspiring talk. And very entertaining as well :). Also some opensource projects can learn from this!
Everything I wanted to hear and more. Some really good points were made. If only 'some other persons' would understand it...
You really 'get it'!
Very interesting, well presented, well structured, but not really a lot of new information (although that probably was not the primary goal of this talk). I did get some new ideas, though and it was fun to listen to.
It was clarifying, but I would also have expected practical examples of map/reduce. I would also love some case studies where couchDb shines and RDBMS would be a bad choice. I found no answer to the question 'When to use couchDb'. Touching on some exotic possibilities of the technology would have been nice.
This was a talk I really was looking forward to. Lorna, you're a natural! Your slides were very well structured and easy to follow.
Everything was really well explained and with the funny sidenotes from time to time it was just great to listen to. The talk really inspired me to even read more about the Joel test.
I'm really looking forward to more talks of you Lorna!
