I didn't really had the chance to trow a bowling ball, but since there was also a Kinect booth sponsored by Microsoft I went over there.
I never played on XBOX360 with Kinect, but I can say it was just awesome, but very tiring! Would be cool to have that booth there again next year :-)
I can say that the catering was just excellent! There was enough food, drinks for everybody and you didn't have to wait. The hotel staff was really friendly! Thanks to the sponsors for the food & drinks!
A very nice presentation / talk from Ivo. Also in this talk the slides were very well made, just a few keywords and a good picture.
The whole structure of the talk was very good and easy to follow, even if you haven't got any experience with developing for mobile devices at all. The examples given in the talk were easy to understand and a live example at the end on the talk was really nice to see.
Thumbs up Ivo!
The talk in general was good, but as already said in the comments I rather would have seen some pro's and con's between some tool.
Now I know that this might be a bit tricky because as said in the talk, there isn't really a "good" or "bad, you just need to look at your project / team and see what works the best for that situation or project.
Anyhow, I learned some new things and overall the talk was good. Well done!
I really liked the keynote, the chemistry between the two speakers was really nice. The slides were very well chosen, I like slides with just a key sentence and a well chosen picture in the background.
As of the topics, they were all relevant but I think 27 is a bit much. Although they all make sense I just found some of them to be too obvious, so I would maybe combine some of the items together.
In all I like the talk very much, as said in the beginning, the chemistry between the two speakers was really good and that gave it that little extra. Well done Ivo & Lorna, looking forward to more talks :-)
Good presentation. Ivo told a great story.
Since I'm pretty familiar with mobile development, I didn't hear many new things, but that would be unfair to expect.
Unfortunately Ivo skipped over some third party development tools that are really quite interesting for people quite familiar with web programmaning (especially javascript).
I myself have been developing in Titanium from Appcelerator and I'm quite taken with it. It was pushed aside as a generic interface on all devices and not device specific. This is not true. You can also specify very platform specific functionality in your app.
I agree with Miljar and LuCarD.
Although it was a great sum up from all the tools. As a manager I was more interested in the pro's and con's of every tool and personal experience from John with some of the tools.
Good presentation though.
Good talk, very informantive. Good use of examples. For a next talk I'd be interested to zoom in on a specific part of the process. The do's and don'ts of ..., pitfalls, edge cases. etc.
Loved the talk.
Gave me good insight on when to use XML and when to use JSON.
Interesting talk and also a usefull discussion afterwards.
However, I now have a big list to work on.
