An interesting look into how text fields are stored within a database, and ways in which efficiency can be improved when storing text.
I enjoyed this talk and the potential that the ISO standards highlighted have to drive quality forwards. The concepts are great, I think the lack of tooling and approved standards around it however may put some people off. Regardless, I like the idea but will wait for the standard to be approved before I dive in.
One note for the future - if you have an example project where you've come up with eg the 100 or so items to check against, it might be useful to see in the talk how comprehensive things can be without adversely affecting the time taken to review new code/similar.
Great talk, especially loved the fact he covered ES basic in one slide and jumped straight on the parts that really matter. Excellent speaker too. 5/5 Would watch again.
I've used workers before but have heavily relied on Framework code to handle the gritty details. This talk covered a lot more of the DIY approach and I appreciated that.
I was expecting something a little more in depth but it had appeared to have all the things I needed to get started with 2FA covered. I feel that sometimes Rob could have picked up the pace a little.
Fantastic talk. Clearly knowledgable about the subject and enthusiastic too. A good confident speaker.
If there was one downside it would be that there was too much content for the slot. But I'm going to forgive that in the score because I would really have liked to run late on this one if the next talk hadn't needed the room.
An incredibly well presented, funny and insightful look into the lessons we learn about people from artificial intelligence and robots. I find this to be especially interesting as it seems like a complete role reversal. One would expect us to use our 'human knowledge' to better create robots and AI, it was incredibly interesting to see that we can also flip this and learn people lessons from AI.
Great presentation; I'd heard of PSR 7 before but hadn't really looked at what it was about. Very well presented and to the point.
