Lively talk packed with useful concepts.
Apologies for the kind of sporadic nature of the coding demos. That definitely didn't flow as well as I was hoping. So thanks for putting up with it and the hiccups. And thanks very much for the feedback everyone.
This wasn't exactly what I expected it to be from the title, and as such, wasn't all that relevant to me. But it looks like there's a lot of cool new stuff in Oracle DB.
Excellent discussion of how and why to make ugly code beautiful.
Awesome informative discussion.
Good presentation showing how design is important. I especially liked the focus on maintainability.
This was a great talk. I do a lot of mapping stuff and I'm glad he covered a lot of the sort of underlying theory. I definitely want to check out some of the OpenStreetMap stuff.
This was a very entertaining talk, but it would've been nice if there was more node.js details. Very funny and engaging speaker though! I enjoyed it.
I have to agree with the above comments. He had an excellent presence and is a gifted speaker but the content was not as promised.
This was a great session! I learned that 1) I was doing a lot of optimization things correctly already, and 2) Some new techniques for making my ZF apps better. Also, who knew there was a performance manual on the ZF docs site?
I'd encourage a bit of a volume increase though. It was a little hard to hear at times.
