Very interesting presentation, but maybe not for everyone. From a high-altitude view, I really liked learning about how Symfony internally organizes their component libriaries and how they handle the monorepo vs multirepo problem. On the other hand, it's unlikely that I would ever need to take advantage of the subtree splits unless I moved to a company already using it.

Great talk! I really enjoyed Mike's presentation and knowledge of RESTful APIs. The role of Mulesoft and the purpose of the account he had us setup wasn't clear at first.

Excellent talk -- I walked away with a ton of useful notes.

Exactly what I was hoping for -- a talk about installing, configuring, and starting to use a step debugger, instead of var_dump().

I could watch Freek run through his code for hours. This was a really novel solution leveraging Laravel, Vue.js, Pusher, and multiple external APIs.

Somehow Joe condensed a full day course into an hour and didn't seem to drop anything important. This was a great overview of Laravel and the Laravel ecosystem.

Crypto is a giant field, but Adam seemed to hit the critical stuff we need to know with how PHP deals with encryption -- including a good explanation of the different cipher modes!

Excellent training day course! David is a excellent speaker and did a great job of keeping us interested and involved through the day. The combination of the printed book, the lecture, and the code labs really helped to reinforce the material. Having the labs structured completely independent of each other made it easy to keep up, especially if something went wrong early on. It might have been a bit more helpful for the labs to make changes to the base code.

One major recommendation: the course should have required a standard Vagrant box, instead of the local XAMPP + Ruby + Compass installation. It would have helped some of the participants with various systems to have that uniform, virtual environment, instead of struggling with versions, local paths and environmental variables.

Wonderful thought provoking talk and great examples
