I'm too young to remember the origins of the watet fall workflow, so I'm very glad that Chris took us through it and the effect that that has had on development today. From a time where resourses were scarce so planning was critical, and freezing everything made sense. To now when we want to be agile and responsive to change, but we still fear it.
I appreciate him sharing his sources and further reading.
He lead on to talking about diversity. He had lots of sources.
I've always wondered what happens behind the scenes when the Wizzards make changes to the Core. I have a much better understanding of "how the sasuage is made" now.
A fun talk that demands audience participation, even if we are too vanilla... :-)
I know that the voting was performed by a third party site but it would have been good to see the number of votes cast for each option.
Would have been nice to see more PHP implementation details as a large part of the talk was about weak passwords I think this was opportunity missed.
Light on the technical details and served more as a guide to GraphQL in general. Would have been nice to see more actual PHP implementation examples. Maybe even some code demos
Loads of great examples and some good points made!
Looking forward to v3
Good overview of the process and where people like me can help.
I found the workshop interesting, informative and perfectly pitched. I am excited to put BDD into practice and am confident that I know the right direction to develop this further following this session.
Thank you!
Mark
Enjoyed the talk and learn about somehing new. Thinking about bilding some simple page to check Bref in practice. Good idea with examples about switching to FaaS in case of costs.
