Talk comments

Thanks for the feedback. I was not very happy with my delivery of the talk, especially of the second half. I will soon publish the slides but will likely publish a 2nd version with some changes to the order of the slides. Aside from this I am sorry if the description of the talk created different expectations than what was delivered.

Great talk, highly informative and well presented.

Information packed. I've been playing with vagrant for a few weeks, and have been using puppet in prod for almost 3 years, and I learned many new things here. Lots of cues for audience participation which got everyone involved. Excellent presentation all around. A live demo was the only thing missing, but that didn't detract from the talk one bit.

The best talk I saw at the conference.

I got the feeling everyone in the audience was learning something new, the whole time. I sure learned a lot. Excellent use of time & pacing, lots of Q&A throughout the talk. This made for a very friendly & welcoming environment. Very well done!

To anon, who said the sound was too low, there was a problem with the PA in that room. I blame the AV company for that.

Really enjoyed this talk. Rowan kept the talk light-hearted, which allowed him to very effectively deliver some very serious suggestions for improving yourself. The story-based format worked very well for this topic. If I could make one suggestion, the slides were a little dark, though I think that was a little more the fault of a dim projector than the slides themselves.

This was a well-polished and inspirational talk. Loved the history section at the beginning. This talk delivered a great message, and I hope we can all find a way to work towards real sharing.

Knew nothing about Redis going in to the talk. Seemed to be a deep dive on the features of Redis. I might have gotten more out of it with some PHP code examples on the basics. Also, I heard a lot of issues that Redis users have to deal with. Maybe this content could be highlighted a bit more with comments about severity and whether or not these are just edge cases. Slides could have used some spark, too ... black and white with thin font added nothing to the talk. Any talk at the end of a conference is tough, though ... good job.

Going into this talk I knew very little about Redis so appreciated that this talk covered so much. It was a little bit more than a into to the topic. I will have to review the material at some point.

@Raul thanks for the suggestion. I need to see how deal with different resolutions for the projectors.
