As someone who had no experience with Silex I found this to be a great intro. The presentation was well structured to cover the basics of Silex as well as get into some of the more advanced use cases.
Informative and enjoyable talk. You kept things moving at a nice pace and seemed to connect well to the audience.
Great content with a lot of solid advice. I would recommend picking up the pace a bit in your next talk and, if its an option, standing so that everyone can see you. Overall, great talk and I would recommend it to others.
P.S. Plurals and underscores rock!
great way to finish things up.
Great talk! Very informative and well prepared. You may want to spend a little more time in the future explaining that the salt is included in the resulting hash. Many developers are used to storing the salt in a separate column or at the application level and there seemed to be some confusion or expectation of magic in finding the salt. Overall, five stars.
This seemed by much more geared towards ember than symfony, so at the least, the title was misleading. That being said, the talk was well presented and had good use of code examples.
Tons of useful information here, with lots of ideas about how to start a group, get sponsorship, keep users interested, etc. and plenty of resources for reference. Beth is a very capable and approachable speaker who is happy to answer lots of questions and obviously has a real passion for PHP and the community.
a bit hard to understand his accent with the speed at which he was talking. But he had great content, and showed good examples.
Not sure why this talk happened. Didn't seem to have a purpose and seemed like an act for attention.
Alan provided a well organized, compelling case for choosing to develop php apps on the IBM i platform with Zend server. Yes you can build great forms on top of green screens using php - and other great things. I suggest you check out his slides and consider php on the IBM i. As an added bonus, I got a valuable lesson in movement awareness that relaxes your neck and shoulder muscles (a Feldenkrais method).
