I enjoyed this talk, it was easy to listen to and follow along with. Lots of good notes to discuss with my team. Thanks Sam, safe trip home.
My only complaint is I didn't shake your hand.
Thanks Derick, your work is appreciated and needed.
This was a good talk by Sebastian with a bit of how we got here to the latest version of PHPUnit and the rest of the tools that are now packaged with the php qa tools. There was a lightning discussion follow up on Wed. that basically reiterated.... just use the php qa suite.. no need for anything else.
A fast-paced overview of different implementations of the open/closed principle with explanations of when to use each. Sam has a deep understanding of this material.
Bill does a good job of reducing a dizzying amount of debugging information into key pieces used for diagnosing problems. He tends to explain issues all the way from the top of the stack down almost to the bare metal, which helps a lot for supremely complex subjects like performance tuning.
Good, practical, concise intro to unit testing a ZF application. Excellent that you began with countering the "I've got deadlines, why should I do this?" argument. Also, very glad you discussed testing webservices.
One of the best talks at zendcon 2011
For me this is the best talk of Zend Con
Good Talk, very engaging, nice infusion of humour while still delivering very very informative content
Hi Liz!
Great talk, really. I have to partly agree with Scott.
Your talk was packed for a reason - Yes, most of them had heard of SPL, but did they know how to properly implement it? They were there because a lot are still confused/new/hungry.
Your presentation style is great.
Thanks!
